Day One

Well, here we go! This is my first day with my new blog and I only just learned what a 'blog' is: short for weblog. You learn something new every day.

For myself and for those who may eventually see this little creation of mine, the idea is to look at where I am today and how far I progress in my personal and social development. I may have glimpses into my past now and then, but life is not to be centered on the past to the point where one can not move forward but only in the sense that the 'past' may serve the future.

If you glanced at my profile, then you know the basic framework from which I begin. I will continue to post to my blog daily, whether it be as a diary, as a commentary or just something I'd like to share with the world.

The first priority in my life, at the moment, is to find work that earns me a paycheck of some sort! I'm not sure a forty hour a week job is suitable for me at this point in my life, so I am willing to look at new options. I'll be looking for part-time work as an employee but I'd also like to persue the idea of working for myself...ah, the notion of my own business!

I will undoubtedly write about my home which is my heart, the root of my life and my old-age refuge. The first day I saw this place I told my husband at the time that this was where I would die!

I will probably have something to say about my pets; two horses and eight cats on this date, as well as the myriad of animals and birds gracing this beautiful piece of land.

There are people in my life as well, of course. There are my two sons, the one in the military and the one who still lives where I live and then there is my beautiful and hard-working daughter who teaches middle-school music for a living...good for her! I am so proud of all of you!

I will also probably add a few things here and there about the man I love, although not much as he is so very shy! I am proud of you too, Sweetie!

And that is enough for a beginning! I will be back tomorrow.
